Studio Manager
Ado Ato Pictures is an award-winning studio and collective based in Los Angeles and Amsterdam. We have a global reach and impact. Working with changemakers in the arts, technology, and more across five continents, we practice multidimensional, interdisciplinary storytelling that challenges colonial tropes and uplifts historically marginalized voices. We are seeking a Studio Manager to support the operations of our studio in the center of Amsterdam. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled professional who has the skills we are looking for - you don’t have to have a background in the creative industries, we are looking for a strong leader with the right skills and experience! The Studio Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Ado Ato Pictures, including but not limited to, managing ongoing projects, day-to-day management of the teams, and building/maintaining relationships with vendors and in-house. This person will report to the Creative Director and will work closely with the production and finance teams to ensure financial and project objectives are being met.

Key Responsibilities:
Studio Operations:
● Coordinate and manage day-to-day studio operations, including scheduling, set preparation, and equipment availability.
● Oversee the execution of production plans and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Facilities Management:
● Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of studio facilities and equipment.
● Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any technical issues promptly.
Production Support:
● Work closely with directors, producers, and production teams to understand project requirements.
● Assist in coordinating logistics, such as set construction, lighting setups, and equipment needs.
Resource Allocation:
● Manage studio resources effectively, including soundstages, props, and technical equipment.
● Ensure optimal utilization of space and equipment to meet production demands.
Budget Management:
● Collaborate with the finance department to develop and monitor studio budgets.
● Track expenses related to studio operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Personnel Management:
● Hire, train, and supervise studio personnel, including production assistants and technical staff.
● Coordinate staff schedules and assignments based on production needs.
Client Relations:
● Interface with film directors, producers, and clients to understand their expectations and facilitate a positive working relationship.
● Address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Essential:
● Bachelor's degree / working experience equivalent
● 5 -10+ years work experience in a similar role
● Proven track record in successfully managing and overseeing budgets and financial processes
● Project management experience in monitoring multiple projects at once
● Proven experience in studio or operations management within the film, entertainment or any other industry, as long as the skills and experience match
● Experience managing teams
● Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.
Nice to have:
● Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on film production schedules.
● Experience working with donors and reporting requirements
● Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for the film and entertainment industry.
● Ability to work in the CET ( Amsterdam) time zone - remotely or on site
